Our
Duncan Spencer exhibit has ended. The show was well received, appreciated both
by the public, and by artists inspired by Spencer's skill
and dedication to his craft. It was a great pleasure
delving into the history of the artist, his connection to the film
industry, the artists of the California Plein Air watercolor movement,
and the Western artists of the AICA. His life is without doubt a
glimpse into the lives of many other
20th century West Coast artists. It has been a delight to unravel
some of the common
threads that wove their lives together.
We
are pleased to continue to represent Duncan's work, and have an
excellent selection of paintings and drawings available for viewing at
the gallery. We will continue to add work to our web site as

Sierra Art Trails presents - WATER, Source of Life A juried exhibit
WATER - Source of Life has been re-scheduled from August to November 2010. The show has had an enthusiastic response, but we felt it was important to give artists interested in participating more time to create new work for the exhibit.
The exhibit has been re-scheduled for November 6th through December 5th. The new submission deadline is October 10th, 2010.
If you have already submitted your application we will hold it or return it to you if you have a conflict that does not allow you to participate. |

Sierra Art Hop takes place on the second Saturday of every month, from 11 AM to 5 PM.
Most participating venues present featured artists, hold demonstrations and other activities, and offer light refreshments.
Current participants include Artifacts Ethnic and Tribal Gallery, Nancy Robbins Photography, The Mind Shop, Stellar Gallery, Timberline Gallery, Williams Gallery West, and Willow Bridge Books in Oakhurst.
Featured artists demonstrate their work throughout the day, discuss techniques, and visit with clients and customers. Come join us!
