Charlotte Hoffman at Yosemite Coffee Company in Oakhurst"I am drawn to nature, especially flowers and landscape. The varied scenery of the San Joaquin valley, rolling foothills, and majestic mountains, in their changing seasonal dressings, continually provide new views to capture. 

Pastels are pure joy and fun. The immediate vivid colors are so
gratifying. I love painting landscapes and florals, trying to capture that glowing unfolding moment. When choosing a subject I'm attracted to the essence of the moment. That essence may be the color of the sky, the feel of the season or something that grabs my eye, mind, and heart."
